French gastronomy and conviviality in the heart of Geneva
is a family, a team spirit, a private room, a passion, a lot of respect for work, people, local producers, and also for sharing gastronomy, French cuisine and good wines.
After years of experience in catering for Chef Gaëtan Thiron, sommellerie and team management for Benjamin Marais, these two restaurant professionals decided to join forces. They know each other very well, have already collaborated in "L'Olivier de Provence" in Carouge where they learned to work together. After a few years in this beautiful house, they begin to dream of a restaurant of their own. Both have proven professional skills and are in love with the "good time" around the table.
The restaurant La Comedie reaches out to them, and they must take the step. They hesitate a little, then dare to launch themselves. Together, they rethink the decoration and renovate the establishment that becomes Le Philanthrope, place of conviviality around dishes created with generosity by the Chef Thiron. Gaëtan knows his producers and partners well. Both a cook and a pastry chef, he invests himself daily in the creation of seasonal menus.
Alongside Benjamin and an excellent team, the Chef offers gourmet gastronomy around sincere and delicious dishes accompanied by a wine list which is all about the passion for wine ... all in the heart of Geneva.
